The Dish on Saucy Dishware
Sure, Wedgwood and Lenox china are great -- for the elderly, maybe. Hostesses who want a little more edge to their place settings can pick up Brooklyn-based artist Sarah Cihats rehabilitated dishware. Her fun, saucy pieces start out as thrift-store throwaways and turn into tabletop fashion with the application of a graphic design and some glaze. The resulting bold colors and imagery (think skulls and strippers) are sure to liven up any party. But you might not want to use them when Grams comes over. $32-$56, sarahcihat.com
