Vacherons Version of Value (L.A.)

Vacheron Constantin's new Overseas timepiecesTouting an "affordable" Vacheron Constantin timepiece is a bit like sushi demigod Masa Takayama offering a "bargain" menu at lunch. (Only $175 per head vs. the usual $300. What a deal!) Nonetheless, the luxury watch company will debut its lower-price point Overseas collection tonight at Westime Jewelers. Instead of shelling out upwards of 30 grand (not uncommon for a Vacheron), the new Overseas timepieces start at around $10,000. What a deal, indeed. 10800 W. Pico Blvd., (310) 470-1388
