A Trunk Show for the Bookish (L.A.)
Asprey, the British luxury goods maker, is hosting a rare book trunk show Oct. 26-27 at the Beverly Hills Hotel for crazy, money-is-no-object-I-have-to-have-it bibliophiles. On display will be a complete set of first edition Jane Austen novels and one of only 1,250 first editions of Darwin's "On the Origin of the Species." In addition to showcasing books for sale, the trunk show will feature fine book authority Darren Winston, who will be offering complimentary appraisals. (310) 550-0520
