Fred Segals Highly Evolved Genes Pool (L.A.)
We hardly blinked when people were buying Sevens for more than $100. Didnt wince when Earnest Sewn debuted around the $200 mark. But $500 jeans? Are denim devotees really that mad? Fred Segal on Melrose is counting on it because Evisu Genes, a limited edition made with rare vintage denim spun on Japanese looms, has arrived at its denim bar. Three signature styles range from $380-$565 well, the logo is hand-painted, after all. (323) 651-4129
